Welcome to Bowl of Splendor
Galatians 5:22-24 (MSG)
But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.
"You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God."
A Collection Of Brilliant And Magnificent Ideas From Above
It is important to have "girl time" with your friends! Be intentional and call up that friend you haven't seen in a long time and get together. We are stronger together! If you need a friend contact us and we will introduce you to Jesus. He sticks closer to you than a brother!
"The man of too many friends [chosen indiscriminately] will be broken in pieces and come to ruin,
But there is a [true, loving] friend who [is reliable and] sticks closer than a brother."
. . . . .it takes a village
Now that you have stumbled into our village you might be asking yourself, "What is this website all about?". Quite, honestly we're not really sure ourselves, but we are willing to step out and see where this dusty road takes us. You are welcome to come along and join us on our quest to the "great somewhere". We are excited to share with you a collection of brilliant and magnificent ideas, or really information. Our hope is to help others by communicating and sharing what we have learned and are continuing to discover as we walk out this thing called life.
Meet The Tribe
Our goal is to be real, authentic and uninhibited with everyone we meet and all that we share. We are just ordinary villagers with an extraordinary desire to share our hearts and hope that we can lift your spirits and help you discover your unique purpose on this earth! We are always expanding and adding to our little tribe of glad tidings of great joy!
All you need is a bowl and two gals and you have a Bowl of Splendor.

Our Beginnings by Deb
Matthew 6:33- Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and He will meet all your needs!
This verse was given to me back in May of 2010. I was sitting at bible study at my friend Stephanie’s house and it was part of our lesson, but the Lord spoke to me and said this is for you! I have to admit that I didn’t really understand at the time, but I wrote it in my bible along with the date and place. It has been a reminder for me every time I turn to Matthew! Looking back, I realize that day was actually a turning point in my life. It was that day that I met the lady that introduced me to a new business, which has truly changed my life and given me both time and money to do the things that the Lord has called me to do over the last five and a half years!
Like most everyone, life has been a roller coaster, with many ups and downs, but I have always found peace and joy in the Lord. I continued with that same group of women to meet weekly and study God’s word, and our friendships continued to grow deeper and became the support system that we all relied on to get us through life’s challenges. Some women came for a season and left for many different reasons, some got jobs, some moved and some just moved on, but we all learned and supported each other through problems with our children, husbands, death of parents, various illnesses, financial issues, you name it, we probably prayed about it!
My point is that everyone needs a support system, and I really feel that is what has helped me to stay joyful and positive in the midst of life’s trials! The word says, in John 16:33, that in this world you will have trials, but take heart for He has overcome the world! This is a hard verse to understand, but I’ve found that, like the song says, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! I believe that we go through trials so we can be strengthened in our faith and develop a stronger testimony to help others when they face the same issues in their life! I am so thankful for the women in my life who were there to pray for me and lift me and my family up in times of trouble. I found that prayer was always the answer to all of the problems and it seemed to make everyone feel better after we left and gave us all the strength and comfort we needed to get through to the next week!
Our little bible study group saw many different trials over the last seven years and has evolved and grown to be an awesome group of women who have all matured and grown in their faith and their walk. There is much fruit on their trees, and I am so blessed to have each one of them in my life as friends, confidantes and sisters in Christ. Each one of these ladies has a special place in my heart and I love them with a love that only comes from the Lord!
So where is this going you may ask -- I wanted to share how important it is to have amazing people in your life who will tell you the truth no matter what, who won’t judge you, or share your secrets and most of all, love you unconditionally through the good, bad and the ugly!
I believe that God has strengthened us, prepared us and molded us for this specific place in time and is now using each one of us to go out and help others who may be struggling and need to know about our wonderful Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Here are just a few of the amazing things that these women are doing now:
Michelle B started an awesome blog called Restored Ministries over a year ago and it has grown to over 875 followers and 24 bloggers. I remember when she woke up in the middle of the night and created Restored Ministries site, not knowing anything about designing a website, but the Holy Spirit guided her fingers and today it has blessed so many with daily blogs that inspire thousands of people all around the world! You can find more about Restored Ministries at restoredministries.org. She also started a women's connection group called Divine Connections to help women get freedom from their past!
Stephanie, my sweet friend who is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, created an awesome site called, God’s Beauty Secrets and she speaks to hundreds of young girls in schools and beauty pageants and shares her testimony and how God has changed her life. You can find her site at www.facebook.com/Gods-Beauty-Secrets-739896832688981/ .
Michelle K, who has four incredibly active boys, can pray like pure poetry, and has blessed me in so many ways, is now teaching a bible study group at BSF and helping so many other women grow in their walk!
Karen, who was our fearless leader back in 2008, when I first started this bible study, moved in 2013 with her husband to Dallas for a new business opportunity, has been the caretaker of her elderly mother for over five years, and has nursed her back to health and she is still alive and doing well today! We miss you Karen – you inspired us all and were the glue that held us all together in the early days!
Marina, our sweet and fearless leader now, has the patience of Job, and is making an impact in her neighborhood, and has created a place where all the children can go to find harmony and learn about Jesus! She is also leading a women’s bible study group for her church and is mentoring women looking for friendship, guidance and support!
Trudi, a former water-skiing champion, has a heart for service and spends time at her church and is also involved in helping women through BSF ministries.
There are two other incredible women I would like to mention who are new to our group and will soon be part of our tribe, Rev. Miriam Moore, who has a heart for evangelism and is now in Africa spreading the gospel. She has introduced us to many different revelations and continues to inspire us with her worldly knowledge.
Laura Gallier, our talented friend who is an incredible author and speaker and has already published several books, and soon to be a well-known Hollywood writer and movie producer! She is currently working on the script for a movie being made from her book, The Delusion, which we believe will be a box office hit and open the eyes and ears of people all over the world! You can find more information at delusionseries.com .
And last, but not least, my dear friend, Kelley, who is my crazy, creative partner in this new blog adventure, BowlofSplendor.com!
She has been there for me through thick and thin and we have had many great memories traveling all over to hear different speakers and learn more about Jesus and how to better share the message. She has been the greatest influence in my life and has the biggest heart for God than anyone I know! She exudes love and we like to say, she drops love bombs everywhere she goes, and she goes everywhere and prays for everyone from sex trafficking, to porn conventions in Dallas to Power and Love conferences close by in Webster, TX. We have had more fun and met tons of amazing people on our journeys, and I know the best is yet to come!
Bowl of Splendor has been a vision that Kelley and I have had for quite some time, and just recently felt the Holy Spirit give us the push we needed to make it happen. We have had lots of great adventures over the last five years and want to share our lessons learned and thoughts, revelations and brilliant ideas with everyone we know and will meet in the future. We pray that this site will be an inspiration for many!
Seeking first the Kingdom of God, as stated in Matthew 6:33, truly has met all my needs and sustained me through life’s challenges. It has been the guiding light that has enriched my life and my relationships beyond measure. I am so excited about what the future holds and live each day with joy and peace in my heart because of the gift of salvation through Jesus, my Savior!
Be the light,
Excited to add new and younger faces to our tribe

Why is it important to lock your shields with good people? So you can conquer more territory! Do you seek out friends and colleagues who will go the distance with you to impact others in your little sphere of influence? We all wear different hats that represent our different personalities and giftings. When we join forces together it creates a force that is unstoppable!
Everybody matters and it is important to include and value all of us who make up the "Body of Christ". And even the future members! They need us the most to be an example of who we represent! Jesus
I Corinthians 12:12-18
You can easily enough see how this kind of thing works by looking no further than your own body. Your body has many parts—limbs, organs, cells—but no matter how many parts you can name, you’re still one body. It’s exactly the same with Christ. By means of his one Spirit, we all said good-bye to our partial and piecemeal lives. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which he has the final say in everything. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized.) Each of us is now a part of his resurrection body, refreshed and sustained at one fountain—his Spirit—where we all come to drink. The old labels we once used to identify ourselves—labels like Jew or Greek, slave or free—are no longer useful. We need something larger, more comprehensive.
I want you to think about how all this makes you more significant, not less. A body isn’t just a single part blown up into something huge. It’s all the different-but-similar parts arranged and functioning together. If Foot said, “I’m not elegant like Hand, embellished with rings; I guess I don’t belong to this body,” would that make it so? If Ear said, “I’m not beautiful like Eye, limpid and expressive; I don’t deserve a place on the head,” would you want to remove it from the body? If the body was all eye, how could it hear? If all ear, how could it smell? As it is, we see that God has carefully placed each part of the body right where he wanted it.
How we got inspired to lock our shields together and look for others to join our tribe of influence.
